□ Name: Kon-El / Conner Kent / Superboy

![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
□ Series: Superboy. DC Pre-boot
□ Canon point: Pre 52 Reboot / End of 2011 run of Superboy
□ History: http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Kon-El_(New_Earth)
□ Personality: Kon is a kid at heart, hell he has barely been alive enough to even be called a teenager. In general, he has a very complicated set of circumstances that make him who he is. To be absolutely blunt, he is a test tube baby. He was created in a test tube from the DNA of Superman and Lex Luthor.
Of course, the fact that he is a clone only makes up a piece of who he really is. In fact, one of the things that bothered him the most was the fact that he was a clone, and there was a point that he wondered if he was truly human. Two things helped to pull him out of the funk. The first was Superman giving him an actual name. For the longest time, he had only been known as Superboy, nothing more and nothing yes. Superman eventually gave him the Kryptonian name of Kon-El. Superman is an idol to Kon, the gesture of not only giving him a name, but one of the –El family meant the world to him. It was also a large step away from the feeling of being nothing but a weapon or a replacement for Superman. The second bout was over the thought of not having a soul. He had asked Raven if he had a soul and was given a non positive answer. It was a bitter pill to swallow, all humans had souls, but he didn’t. Eventually, that thought was reversed when he was told that his soul was simply small and still growing.
In all honesty, Kon would rather cover up his problems and hide his insecurities rather than wave them all out in the open. When he found out that Lex Luthor was the one who donated the other half of his DNA. His greatest fear was if anyone found out that he had a megalomaniac as a half DNA father, they would leave him alone. Kon wants to be liked and feel useful; he almost needs people to approve of him in a way. Again, this goes back to the fact that he’s still a clone and missed out on a normal childhood.
That’s not to say that he is an immature brat. Kon was literally created to be a super hero and his sense of morality ranks up there with Superman. Innocents are not to be harmed, and killing is simply never to happen. Hell, he’ll even try to avoid hurting people if at all possible (though, if they were hurting other people, all bets are off). It often seems like he’s not serious about things. He can be a total goof off, but he is incredibly dependable when it comes to fighting the good fight (even if he stops in the middle for few moments of showboating and flirting).
Kon generally has an ego, and is beyond flirtatious sometimes. Being a clone, he lacked a lot of the growing up that other people did, so he wasn’t shy when it came to matters of the flesh. Though, his flirtatious nature sometimes got him into major trouble. When he first started being Superboy, he made some decisions based on how hot a person was (or in the case of signing with the sleazy agent Rex Leech, just because his daughter was attractive).
In general Kon is simply a happy fun loving guy. He can be reckless and headstrong, but he always means well. He has a bit of a vain streak when it comes to his looks, but really it’s all part of his charm. Really what it comes down to, even as a clone, Kon would be the first one to give his life for the greater good, something he has done before without a moment of hesitation.
□ Age: He came out of the test tube at a mental and physical age of sixteen. Add on to that the number of years of adventures he’s had, and he is definitely over 18 in the mental and physical sense. But, in regards to the actual number of years he has been alive, it’s a bit debatable. The general consensus is between 5 and 7… But, you have to take into account the times where he didn’t age, was dead or was in a different time all together. So, the math adds up to about nineteen
□ Gender: Male
□ Appearance: Kon is about 5'7 and 150 pounds, though he tends to come off looking more bulky then that. He has black hair and blue eyes. He is know to wear exactly the same thing almost constantly. Usually, he can be found in a flannel shirt, jeans and the nerdy glasses he was given (by Superman himself). When he's doing the super hero thing, he is known for not having a costume at all. He wears simply a black shirt with a red “S Shield” on it and a pair of jeans.
Even though they list him as being 5'7 and 150, Kon is often drawn as quite muscular, something that seems obvious considering his skill set. He has super strength and other kryptonian powers that he gained from the genetic material of Superman.
Kon has gone through many looks through his life as a hero, from a more 80's look to his present look that most resembles a “good old boy.” His hair is kept short and neatly groomed and in general he keeps his clothes the same way.
□ Abilities/Powers:
Kon is a clone of Superman, as such he has quite the list of powers. Personally, I would rather take him with his original power set, as giving him all of Superman's powers leaves him greatly overpowered.
Tactile Telekinesis: In essence this is a telekinetic force field that surrounds his body. This power helps him to simulate Superman's powers in the following way.
Superhuman Strength: Using his telekinetic powers he is able to lift large object or throw objects at Mach speeds.
Flight: His flight comes through his telekinetic abilities. In essence he uses his ability to drag himself through the air at super sonic speeds.
Force-Field: To simulate Superman's invulnerability by using telekinesis to block or repel objects. Much like Superman, this power does not work so well when it comes to energy.
Superhearing: His tactile telekinesis somehow allows him the ability to hear for long distances.
Superboy also has the ability to disassemble objects using his telekinesis, when he does so he can cause the individual pieces to explode outwards.
Force Blats: He can shoot or created bursts of telekinetic energy that can equal 5000 pounds of TNT.
□ Personal Items:
*Jeans
*Black T-shirt with Red S
*Flannel Shirt
*Nerdy Glasses
□ First Person Sample: Is this thing on? Can anyone hear me? Any Titans? Justice League?
[ It took him a moment before he realized exactly what he was asking. He didn’t want to hear any wisecracks from Tim about his brain not being on or the fact that he practically gave away his secret identity. Tim would lecture him for the next year if he knew about his little mistake, but Kon had never been very good with the secret identity thing. Hell, he wore a freaking t-shirt as a costume. Still, he had so many questions and issues with what was going on…]
This place… they told me where I was, but I still don’t believe it. Though, where I’m from, traveling to different dimensions can be pretty normal, but this is taking it to a new level. Kidnapping is not kosher, not even close. There has to be something that can be done, right? Maybe hotwire that little portal? Build an inter-dimensional hot rod?
[ He knew how dumb that sounded, but…]
I know I’m grasping at straws, but there’s got to be something that can be done. If there’s anything I can do to help, I’m there.
[ There was an after thought though, something that had been on his mind and he figured he might as well just go on and ask. ]
They were serious about the whole integration thing? I mean not that I mind that part of things, but doesn’t it seem a little… I don’t know... porno like? It’s almost like it’s every guy’s wet dream…
□ Third Person Sample:
It was normal for him, coming home late at night bruised and beaten up. Injuries, being blasted through a wall, it was all part of the gig; a gig that he wouldn’t change for the world. Hell, it was a gig that made him who he was. He was a hero, sure he could sometimes be a bit snarky while doing it, but when someone was in trouble he was there. On top of that, he enjoyed it. The part he didn’t enjoy was the walk of shame home with your hair messed up and clothes covered in three types of grime. Grime that was not leaving small spots on the floor as he made his way to the shower, he’d have to clean it up when he was done in the shower, Ma Kent wouldn’t exactly be happy about the mess left behind.
The water of the shower had to be extra hot, not because he could take it (which he could, in a way), but because the layers of filth deserved it. They deserved to be blasted away like the scum they were… literally. Tossing his clothes into a pile by the door, the clone stepped underneath the hot stream of water and started the monotonous process of de-gunking himself.
The day had been long, long and annoying. It had started off with a simple bank robbery, no problems there. But, the trip through the swamp and the beating with a large boulder had just been over kill. Over kill that made him far too sleepy for his own good, the heat from the shower lulling him into sleep. He was Superboy; sleeping standing up was no problem.
Waking up someplace that wasn’t his shower, now that was a problem. It was a problem, but nothing too unusual. Kon could count on his hands and his toes the number of times he had ended up someplace he wasn’t supposed to be. So, the question was simply what time was he in and what universe.
It had been explained to him, of course. But, most of it went in one ear and out the other. His strong point had never been technicalities, he had other people to work with the science mumbo jumbo. He was usually around to smash things, it was what he did best.
But, that wasn't going to get him out of this mess. He couldn't go barging back in and break things, especially when they said the portal didn't work backwards. All that would cause was a problem, and everytime he thought about actually doing it, he got nothing but an image of Tim lecturing him about how he needed to think before he acted.
Where did that leave him? Wandering towards what he was going to call home until he could figure out exactly what he was going to do.
“Sex for my powers... not the worst arrangement I've heard.” Of course, out of the whole thing that was the one thing that he remembered.
